John Kahwaty
Managing Director

John Kahwaty has joined Global Atlantic Partners, LLC as a Managing Director focused primarily on investor relations and communications along with strategic planning and management reporting.  Mr. Kahwaty has extensive experience in managing key Wall Street constituencies, announcement planning, executive presentations, and financial reporting.

Mr. Kahwaty served as Executive Director in charge of Investor Relations for 15 years at FleetBoston Financial and BankBoston in which he was responsible for managing the company’s relationship with institutional shareholders, equity and fixed income analysts, portfolio managers, and rating agencies.  In this capacity, he focused on promoting the complete understanding of the company’s strategy, business mix, and financial performance via objective and persuasive communications.  Mr. Kahwaty developed a comprehensive investor relations program that was ranked # 1 for six consecutive years by the Bank and Financial Analyst Association.  He also served as President of the Bank Investor Relations Association.  Mr. Kahwaty became a close advisor to the executive management group on valuation matters and also worked very closely with the strategic planning, M&A, media relations, employee communications, and legal areas.

Prior to that, he served the company for 15 years in a number of capacities including project management, customer and business unit profitability development and managing the financial planning group. 

Mr. Kahwaty received a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Babson College.  He also completed a thesis program at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.  He is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Boston Chapter of NIRI.
