Robert Zuar, CPA, CFA, CLU, ChFC
Managing Partner

Robert (Bob) Zuar is a Managing Partner at Global Atlantic Partners, LLC working on the Risk Management and Internal Audit practices.  Mr. Zuar has over 30 years of senior management experience, offering a wide range of expertise in financial management and operations gained from hands-on experience in both large and small financial services institutions. Prior to joining GAP, he spent 8 years with SBLI, serving most recently as SVP of ERM and Internal Audit where he adopted COSO principles for the Internal Audit and ERM functions. Prior to that position, he was CFO and SVP with responsibility for insurance operations.  Prior to SBLI, Mr. Zuar held several financial management positions, over a 10 year period, at the New England Life Insurance Company.  He spent several years as VP, Treasurer and CFO at Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Company.  Mr. Zuar began his career at Coopers & Lybrand where his responsibilities focused on financial services, health care and educational institutions.  At Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Zuar worked on a number of Health Care start-ups including Tufts, Pilgrim and Bay State HMO’s.

Mr. Zuar is licensed as a CPA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.  Mr. Zuar earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Connecticut graduating with honors. 

Mr. Zuar is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Boston Security Analysts Society, the Association for Investment Management and Research, the Boston Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals and the Financial Executive Institute.
