John Kennedy, CPA
Managing Director

John Kennedy has joined Global Atlantic Partners as a Managing Director responsible for the Business Processes practice area.  Mr. Kennedy specializes in strategic planning, management reporting, implementing financial reporting systems, process re-engineering, cost reduction initiatives and global accounting practices.  He is very experienced at assisting senior management to face the many challenges in today's business environment.

Mr. Kennedy has more than 30 years of senior executive and financial management experience. He served as Senior Financial Officer for Global Banking at BankBoston. His duties included all aspects of financial management for International and Multinational Banking as well as banking services such as transfer agency and custody. He traveled and worked extensively in Latin America, Asia and Europe.

Mr. Kennedy was then engaged to perform a number of consulting projects for BankBoston, including: managing the closure of branch offices in Europe; assuming the senior management position in its New York International Private Banking office after a major fraud was uncovered; and overseeing a major systems conversion and sale of the Bank's Custody Services business. Mr. Kennedy then served as a senior consultant to State Street Bank in the implementation of a new system for Foreign Exchange Trading.

Prior to joining BankBoston, Mr. Kennedy spent seven years at Touche, Ross & Co., now part of Deloitte & Touche, as an audit supervisor, including three years in its Tokyo regional headquarters.

Mr. Kennedy is a CPA and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Washington. He is on the Board of Directors of Beaverbrook STEP, a human services organization providing residential and occupational support to disabled individuals.
